Biography:
Brad Tarbell is a young Mohawk man who grew up on the Akwesasne Mohawk Reservation in upstate New York. Brad began his career when he was 15 years old by racing snowmobiles at Ice Drag Races in Northern New York State and Eastern Canada. He has raced Stock 800, Pro-Stock 800, and Open-Modified 1000 snowmobiles. He was clocked with the Open-Modified 1000 drag sled at the Canadian World Series at 127mph in 660 feet.

From 1995-1999 Brad raced RC (Radio Controlled) Cars, which are mini racecars that use the same race principles as full sized cars. Brad learned race set up and how to perfect his maneuvering skills in order to protect his equipment investment during this time in his career.

Bradley’s early racing career with the snowmobiles and RC cars was very successful and now he eagerly anticipates the new challenges of racing full sized cars on oval dirt tracks. Brad began racing in the Bandit class in the summer of 2005. He started late that season and finished 14th in points. This year he is still racing Bandit class with a new Pontiac Sunfire and hopes to have a successful year.

Brad is an impressive representative of the Mohawk community of Akwesasne through his driving skill as a young driver and his passion for racing - which is in his blood. Brad started his career as a teenager in racing and aspires to continue to race by using his engineering knowledge as a driver and pit crew member to the Lonewolf Racing Team. Brad is a Mohawk Iron worker, out of Local Union 440, and currently works in New York City with his father Eugene, just as many of his ancestors did over the years. Mohawks who are well known in the world of Iron Work for their skills and knowledge of high steel construction and the Tarbell family are well represented in this profession, as well as, racing.
